Just some sketches to upload. I plan to start doing more sketches and then using the Cintiq to ink. I also plan to start messing with halftones (I found this really simple and awesome tutorial that I am itching to mess around with.)

Things will be a bit slower as uploads go because of the holidays. I am spending more time cleaning and baking than anything else right now. I am also chewing my lip off in worry... and as much as I tell myself not to think negative things, I am a very realistic person. Last time I had this suspicion, it turned out bad and I think it will again.

But oh well. I'll figure it out one way or another.

NICE WORK on the volumes! The simple head shots read as kinda flat in comparison...Looks like you should stay away from straight on shots and do more 3/4 views! VERY NICE WORK!

I remember you once making fun of profiles. (In reference to Mike Turner. And then he died. Good job. You killed him over profiles =P )

So I try to avoid drawing profiles, and at the same time... I really try to draw ones that are expressive and not so flat.

But your right, sticking with 3/4ths and variations of that bring more dimensionality.

Would adding that extra eyelash in the back, or even just a slight tilt to the head make those 2-dimensional profiles look better? There ARE occasions in comics where a straight on profile is a powerful image.
